Music is a drug. You hear it everywhere you go, its played in every shop. Its cheap dopamine. You feel good, you buy stuff. And it grows stale. Music becomes an expectation, you no longer enjoy it the same.
Music does not help you achieve anything in life. It is a drug, and musicians are dealers. Sugar is the same. It is not healthy, it just feels good. Coca-Cola are drug dealers.
Music is a drug. Sugar is a drug. Coffee is a drug. Tea is a drug. Alcohol is a drug. TV is a drug. Video games are a drug. Porn is a drug. Social media is a drug. Sex is a drug. Orgasms are a drug. These things take your energy, and make you depressed. That is why all religions encourage asceticism. It allows you to reach your potential and live your best life, because you have energy.
Music helps a lot when you do it yourself.

Experience and age would only come into play if the hardware (intellect) is already there. Short of the high hard cap on the intellectual ability, experience and age won't factor in as much if at all. Experience (which comes with age) is gained always, what matters is how that information is interpreted, which is why intellect and mindset are the biggest factors which determines someone's successes and the scale of such.
A normal person that would have average of below average intellect and physical capacity or one with average or high physical capacity will hardly if at all get caught up with introspecting that hard on what they experienced, that takes intellect.
